The Mammoth Lakes Trails and Public Access Foundation (MLTPA) is seeking energetic, motivated applicants interested in serving as a Project Specialist. A successful applicant will have a demonstrated interest in public policy including Sustainable Recreation, ecosystem management, State of California climate change policies and initiatives, state and federal public funding opportunities, and federal public lands policy along with demonstrated proficiencies writing public communications and grant applications. Specific duties will be assigned by MLTPA staff in support of MLTPA Special Projects under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) including public meeting preparation and participation, messaging and outreach review, and efforts to identify, develop, foster and maintain active partnerships with local and regional recreation partners and affinity groups. Demonstrated familiarity and expertise with computer platforms and software, especially Microsoft Office; demonstrated familiarity and experience with online tools including content management systems (CMS); cloud-based data storage systems; virtual meeting platforms; and online employee time tracking software.
