About Us

Mono County is located on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, running from its southern border with Inyo County to the State of Nevada in the north. From its eastern border with the State of Nevada, the county extends 38 miles westward and upward into the Sierras at elevations of 5,500 to 13,000 feet. The court has two branches: the North County Branch located in the Mono County seat of Bridgeport and the South County Branch located in the Town of Mammoth Lakes. The mission of the Superior Court of California, County of Mono, is to preserve the rights and liberties guaranteed by the California and United States Constitutions through the consistent and impartial interpretation and application of the Law, and the even-handed resolution of disputes arising under the Law.
