The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce 7th Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala was held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Main Lodge. The Gala is the business community's event to honor the businesses and professionals in Mammoth Lakes. Our motto is, "Growing Businesses, Building Community." Every nominee was mentioned, all finalists recognized and the winners were celebrated. Thank you to all the event sponsors who helped make this event possible!

Green Business of the Year
High Point Solar
Since 2008, this business has installed hundreds of low-income homes, through a nonprofit partnership. They prioritize their employees with housing incentives. During unfortunate utility guideline changes, they worked triple time, securing long-term renewable benefits for clients, and keeping Mammoth green.
Non-Profit of the Year
Mammoth Hospital Foundation
Our 2023 Non-Profit of the Year award went to an organization that provides the margin of excellence for health care in the Eastern Sierra. This foundation and its philanthropic partners invest in our residents' and guests' health and well-being, upholding Mammoth Hospital’s “patients first” mission, and offering support to those in need.

Best Looking Business Front of the Year
Dish Bistro
This local bistro provides a peaceful atmosphere, warm lighting, and an ever-changing menu that adjusts to its patrons' desires along with its owner's creative flow. They strive to make people feel welcomed and at home with a great food selection and a revamped outdoor patio.

New Business of the Year
The 2023 New Business of the Year award goes to a local food truck known for its innovative fusion cuisine. Their food offers a combination of flavors from South and Central America, Argentina, Peru, Cuba, and Mexico as their main focus. In addition, they offer services for private events and festivals. Customer Service Person of the Year
"This individual has worked for his employer for 12 years. He fosters a positive company culture leading to a long-standing staff and one of the business and customer-focused restaurants in town. Even with multiple leg surgeries, he has kept his and his staff's Customer Service standards high over the past years."

Young Professional of the Year
This individual has been at the Mammoth Hospital for seven years and is the Administrative Services Director. She has overseen the marketing of ELEVATE, Mammoth Hospital Foundation, Little Lupins Preschool, and more. The preschool is the result of many years of her dedication and effort, resulting in improved recruitment and retention of hospital professionals.

Business Person of the Year
You can find this joyful local, and her personally-mentored staff serving beloved locals and converting the mountain curious into stoked repeat guests. She has a commitment to a high-end guest experience while offering unique souvenirs, zany and on-trend games, legit milkshakes, classic sweets, and authentic smiles.
