The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce celebrated outstanding local businesses and individuals at its 8th Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Canyon Lodge, attended by 175 members of the business community. President & CEO Brianna Goico highlighted the Chamber’s dedication to fostering business and community growth, while Board Chair Alisa Mokler Harper outlined strategic goals aimed at future development. The Chamber congratulates all winners and finalists for their hard work and extends their thanks to the sponsors and raffle donors who made the event possible.

Non-Profit of the Year
Operating for over 50 years, Mono Arts Council (MAC) fiercely advocates for and provides vital, arts education through in-school, after-school, and summer programs. They support local artists through the gallery, events, and employment opportunities. MAC offers adult and family programs like Art & Wine and various cultural activities at their Gallery & Community Arts Center. Congratulations Kristin Reese and the MAC Team!

New Business of the Year
Mammoth Butcher, led by Javier and Samantha, has brought fresh, high-quality meat and seafood to the community. They offer not only premium cuts but also delicious sandwiches and ceviche. Known for their hard work and friendly service, they’ve quickly become a valued part of the business scene.

Customer Service Person of the Year
From lost packages to lengthy sets of notarizations, Sam has found that patience and a smile can go a long way. If someone walks in stressed, the goal is for them to leave feeling calm and assured, even if the problem isn't fully solved. Kindness is key in customer service.

Green Business of the Year
As Mammoth Lakes’ first Certified Green Business, Ridge Merino has been committed to sustainability since day one. For the past 10 years, they’ve made clothing with natural & renewable Merino wool, and they’re constantly testing new eco-friendly processes and materials. They donate 1% of their sales to environmental non-profits every year. Well deserved Jeffrey Russell and the Ridge Merino Team!

Young Professional of the Year
As a lifelong Mammoth resident and MHS graduate, Jesus enhanced service standards through his role at Shelter, where he prioritizes staff growth and inclusivity. His success is measured by his ability to create future Mammoth Lakes leaders. This dedication to lifting the standards of our community, not just Shelter, defines his candidacy.

Business Person of the Year
With 34 years in insurance and financial services, Dave firmly believes in service above self. Due to his team’s tireless work, $30 million was paid out in claims after the 22/23 winter. He supports the community through Safe Kids, Mono County First Five and secured a $1 million grant for local fuel reductions. Congratulations Dave Easterby.

Business of the Year
The Rolling Chef 395 is a concept of fusion Latin flavors from different parts of central and South America. Their menu is created with many different delights such as sandwiches, bowls, and appetizers. In addition, they have some of the best customer service in Town. Congratulations Claudia and Ismael for being crowned 2024 Business of the Year!
