Career Exploration Day

First Student Career Exploration Day! Students from Mono County were able to learn about many careers available in our area. This inaugural event featured a tourism panel and up to 20 speakers sharing their experience in career-building tactics, skills needed, company culture insights, and today’s hiring process from six tracks (health, tourism, trades, education, government, and entrepreneur). Students from Mammoth Lakes, Lee Vining, and Coleville High Schools learned what it takes to succeed in various career options.

Students Choice
Students completed a survey and selected four top choices. They all participated in 3 sessions. In the end, they all completed the day with a networking hour. Our sponsor LADWP along with Mammoth Hospital, US Army, Valley Health Team, Mammoth Community Foundation, Mammoth Recreation, and Mammoth Lakes Housing were sharing with the students the opportunities they all had to offer.
